For the Dubai Shopping Festival, I was involved in the Shoetopia activation at Dubai Mall, developing an AR shoe try-on filter featuring top shoe brands. This project posed a significant challenge due to the early development stage of AR shoe try-on technology at that time. I opted for Lens Studio, which offered the most advanced tracking technology suitable for a realistic virtual try-on experience.
Leading a team of talented 3D modelers, we carefully modeled and textured a variety of shoes for the activation. My responsibility was to integrate these models into Lens Studio, ensuring the AR filter was both functional and visually appealing, accurately representing each shoe brand.
Despite the technical challenges, the project was a success, offering shoppers an innovative and engaging way to explore and try on shoes virtually. This project demonstrated my ability to work with cutting-edge technology and adapt to new challenges in the AR space.
