Emoji AR

As part of a talented team, I contributed to the creation of the Emoji AR project, an exciting AR treasure hunt game implemented across five of Dubai's most popular malls.

This Unity-based game transformed these shopping destinations into interactive gaming zones, where visitors enjoyed the thrill of hunting and capturing virtual emojis. Each successful catch within the time limit not only racked up points but also heightened the sense of adventure.

Beyond its entertainment value, the game was a clever tactic to increase footfall and awareness across the malls. It encouraged players to wander and uncover different mall sections, effectively showcasing the variety of each mall's offerings. The Emoji AR game was a hit for its engaging gameplay and also served as a key tool in promoting exploration and patronage of these popular shopping spots.

Being part of the team behind this project, I played a significant role in merging entertainment with strategic marketing goals, using AR technology to craft an experience that was as enjoyable as it was beneficial for the malls.

ByKarenWazen Eyewear

For the renowned Instagram influencer Karen Wazen's sunglass brand "byKarenWazen", I created an engaging AR try-on filter on Instagram.

This filter, developed using Spark AR, allowed users to virtually try on five of Karen's most popular sunglass designs. Each model was meticulously crafted and textured in Autodesk Maya to ensure a realistic and attractive appearance.

The filter turned out to be a massive hit, reaching millions and adding a fun, interactive element to the brand's social media presence. It was not just a tool for virtual try-ons; it became a widely enjoyed Instagram filter, showcasing my ability to blend technology with fashion and social media trends.

Shoetopia

For the Dubai Shopping Festival, I was involved in the Shoetopia activation at Dubai Mall, developing an AR shoe try-on filter featuring top shoe brands. This project posed a significant challenge due to the early development stage of AR shoe try-on technology at that time. I opted for Lens Studio, which offered the most advanced tracking technology suitable for a realistic virtual try-on experience.

Leading a team of talented 3D modelers, we carefully modeled and textured a variety of shoes for the activation. My responsibility was to integrate these models into Lens Studio, ensuring the AR filter was both functional and visually appealing, accurately representing each shoe brand.

Despite the technical challenges, the project was a success, offering shoppers an innovative and engaging way to explore and try on shoes virtually. This project demonstrated my ability to work with cutting-edge technology and adapt to new challenges in the AR space.

THAT Concept Store

For the launch of THAT, a new high-end concept store, I developed a unique AR web experience using 8th Wall, tailored for integration with a custom website. This project was designed to enhance the opening day event, offering an interactive and engaging journey for attendees. The AR experience included a variety of games where participants could collect points, adding an innovative layer of interaction to the event.

A highlight of the experience was the transformation of the store's gallery. Utilizing AR technology, I brought paintings and portraits to life, creating an immersive and dynamic environment for visitors. This not only captivated the audience but also showcased the potential of AR in enhancing traditional spaces.

The project demonstrated my ability to create sophisticated AR experiences that seamlessly blend with the physical environment, providing a memorable and interactive experience for users.

Crate & Barrel

For Crate and Barrel, I developed a series of AR filters for Instagram and Facebook, designed to engage users while allowing them to view and interact with featured furniture pieces in their own spaces.

This digital activation was not just about showcasing the products; it provided a unique and playful way for users to see how these furniture items could fit and look in their personal environments.

Each piece of furniture was infused with a fun, familiar element, bringing it to life in a virtual setting. The result was five distinct filters, each representing a different featured furniture item.

This project enhanced user engagement and offered an innovative method for customers to connect with the products, merging creativity with practical utility in the AR experience.

Shoetopia

For the Dubai Shopping Festival's Shoetopia activation, I developed the 'Never Have I Ever' Instagram AR filter, a dynamic component of their digital campaign.

This engaging filter was designed not only for individual enjoyment but also to encourage users to share and send their 'Never Have I Ever' responses to friends, further enhancing user interaction. It served as an innovative tool for boosting engagement and raising awareness about both Shoetopia and the festival. By prompting users to participate and share, the filter significantly expanded the reach of the activation.

The success of this AR experience showcased my ability to create captivating content that meets marketing goals, fostering user engagement and extending campaign visibility in a fun and interactive way.

Gold Learners

For Gold Learners, a milk brand known for its engaging content, I developed an AR filter called 'Nurture Little Minds.' Crafted using Spark AR, this filter was a key part of a campaign that encouraged playful interaction. It transformed users into astronauts and transported them to various planets, offering a fun and easy-to-use experience.

The filter was more than just an interactive tool; it was part of a larger campaign where users were prompted to upload videos of their filter interactions for a chance to win a space-themed bedroom makeover.

This project demonstrated my skill in creating AR experiences that not only entertain but also effectively engage users in brand campaigns.
