The BYOPills NFT project was a unique endeavor where I wore the hat of both a 3D artist and an Art Director. Along with a dedicated team of 3D artists, I worked on enhancing the final outputs, fine-tuning the actual models, and their textures. The goal was to blend all assets into a visually and technically coherent project. This was no ordinary NFT project; it aimed to establish an entire ecosystem within the Metaverse, with each NFT playing a critical role.

Goals
The project aimed to boost gameplay excitement with unique assets that seamlessly integrate into other gaming projects, serving as dynamic power-ups and transformative elements. Also, we strived to seamlessly blend avatars (Apostles) and vehicles (BYOCrafts) into various platforms, nurturing a lively community, and making our mark by pushing innovation and tech boundaries. This adventure was all about creating a vibrant space where art and tech collide for gaming experiences like no other.

In the role of a 3D artist and art director, I was deeply involved in shaping a diverse range of assets for the game. This spanned from crafting intricate 3D pills to presenting the vivid BYOLand biomes.

While I took charge of modeling certain assets, it's important to acknowledge the collaborative nature of this effort, with skilled artists contributing their expertise. In this capacity, I also played a supervisory role, ensuring the coherence and top-notch quality of these assets.

My creative engagement extended beyond just modeling; I also handled crucial aspects like texturing and rendering, which breathed life into these assets in their final, polished state. Switching gears to the realm of Apostles, I had a significant influence in guiding color palettes and thematic orientations. This involved adding my unique touch and enhancing various elements. Likewise, when it came to BYOCrafts, I was focused on seamlessly blending style with gameplay. Lastly, the creation of BYOLands was an immersive venture. From conceiving ideas to executing models, these virtual landscapes gave me the chance to channel my creative energy, encapsulating the distinct vibes of diverse in-game biomes within compact virtual realms.

In giving life to these assets, I tapped into a range of creative software. Autodesk Maya was my go-to for detailed modeling, while Adobe Substance Painter added texture and depth. For artistic sculpting, I turned to Nomad Sculpt, and World Creator helped shape height map terrains. When it came to real-time magic, Unity's Universal Render Pipeline (URP) and High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP) stepped in, making sure these assets looked just as they would in the game.

I led the creation of compelling trailers for each project segment. This meant using tools like Adobe After Effects for animated flair, Element 3D for that 3D magic, and rolling up the sleeves with Final Cut and DaVinci Resolve for seamless video editing. Adding to the mix, I fine-tuned the sound design, giving the trailers an extra audio punch. These trailers gave a tantalizing peek into the immersive experiences brewing, building up the excitement for the assets in the pipeline. This well-rounded approach highlighted the blend of art and tech, making for an engaging experience that hit home with the audience.

I also worked on additional assets for the game, contributing my skills in modeling, texturing, and rendering as well as 3D creative Direction. Featured above are some images and renders of these extra assets, showcasing their seamless integration into the game's environment.
